Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Family Vision Care the leading provider of vision care products and services at our offices in Baden and Cranberry Township.

Matthew J. DeLuca, O.D.

Dr. Matthew J. DeLuca is a 1982 graduate of Hopewell High School and a 1986 graduate of The University of Pittsburgh majoring in biology. He received his doctorate in optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1991.

Dr. DeLuca has 30 years of experience in medical optometry with a special interest in dry eye disease. He is a proud member of Vision Source the premier network for private practicing optometrists. The office is equipped with high technology automated equipment to provide state-of-the-art eye exams. He recommends digital, high definition spectacle, and contact lenses.

Dr. DeLuca is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society, Pennsylvania Optometric Society, and American Optometric Society.


Thomas B Staskiewicz, OD


Brandon Homan, OD

Photo of Dr. Brandon HomanDr. Brandon Homan obtained his doctorate degree from The Ohio State College of Optometry in 2021. Dr. Homan grew up on a farm in Napoleon, Ohio. He was a valedictorian upon graduation in 2017 from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry. During his time at Ohio Northern, he had the privilege to start on the varsity soccer team. Dr. Homan is well trained in the areas of specialty contact lenses, along with medical optometry including Diabetic eye exams, Dry eye, Age-related macular degeneration, and Glaucoma.

When Dr. Homan is not in the office he enjoys running, weight lifting, reading, hiking, and relaxing at the lake in the summertime.


Jessica DeLuca, OD

Photo of Jessica DeLucaDr. Jessica DeLuca received her doctorate at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2021 graduating Magna Cum Laude. She also received the 2021 Excellence in Binocular Vision and Pediatrics Award. She has extensive training in fitting contact lenses, performing diabetic eye exams, as well as managing dry eye, glaucoma, and aged-related macular degeneration. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate education.

Her favorite hobbies include exercising, spending time outdoors, and relaxing with her dog.


Staff


Rebecca Hay – Practice Administrator

Rebecca has been with the Baden office for 4 years. She is responsible for overseeing daily administrative processes and staff at the office. Rebecca assists with business improvement plans, performing hiring procedures, and monitors activities for compliance. She loves to work with patients whether medical testing, selecting the perfect pair of spectacles or assisting the Doctor’s with in office procedures. Rebecca is married to her husband Darren and they have 4 children. Kayla, Madison, Kaylee, and Ryan and two dogs Mila and Milo. In her spare time Rebecca volunteers and fosters for a local dog rescue.


Jessica Schooley – Optometric Technician

Jessica does the office medical testing but also will scribe for the doctor when needed. She also helps out with other responsibilities like charting and verify patient’s insurances. She has three children and a Great Dane named Lupin. She loves the outdoors from relaxing at the beach to kayaking and hiking in the mountains. One of her favorite things to do is visit wineries with her sisters and friends.


Donna Backus – Scheduler

Donna answers the phones, replies to emails and communicates with patients. She provides accurate and up to date information on timings and dates to both patients and staff. She prioritizes urgent appointments and schedules accordingly. Her average day consists of moving appointments around to fit the calendar for the Doctors and then notifying patients by phone or email and updating records, databases and calendars after appointments have been made or met. Donna is married to her husband Keith, they have 4 children Kayla, Dominic, Angelina, Elizabeth and 2 dogs Bruno and Fly. She is also a member of the New Brighton Historical Society. In Donna’s spare time she loves family game nights and hanging out with family and friends.


Kelly Davies – Optometric Technician

Kelly is the pre-tester for the Baden office. She has been with the practices for over 6 years. She gets the patient’s refraction, pressures, and pictures prior to them seeing the Doctor. Kelly loves to spend time with her family and has a super contagious laugh. One of her favorite things to do is decorate for the Holidays.


Sara – Assistant Manager

Sara’s job duties include a mix of administrative and eye care tasks. She helps with hiring and training, as well as managing inventory. She processes insurance and billing, and submits work orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Sara favorite part of her job is assisting patients with the selection of spectacle frames and lenses. She is married to the love of her life Erik, and has two beautiful children, Aryanna & Kellen. Sara is a Sunday school teacher & serves on her church council. In her spare time she enjoys running, crafting, and home renovations.


Christine – Optician

Christine obtains patient prescriptions from the optometrists and assists patients in recommending frames, lenses, and contact lenses. She takes customer information and measurements of the ocular area. Christine adjusts frames according to the prescription and patients’ specifications, as well as to suit the patients face. She prepares work orders and educates patients on how to wear and maintain glasses and contact lenses. She is married to her husband Russel and has two daughters Allison, and Madison. Christine likes spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
